Create a Peaceful and Positive Classroom

As an educator, you may be curious about bringing meditation and mindfulness for schools into your work. In your education role, you are crucial in shaping your students’ mental and emotional well-being.

When children are anxious, stressed, struggling in class, or acting out, creating a classroom that fosters calm, safety, and a positive learning environment can be challenging.

Plus, you have to balance the demands of a busy school day with planning, class management, engaging the diverse needs of your students, and your personal self-care needs.

It can be tough.

A Practical Resource for Educators

For 2 decades, Connected Kids has brought meditation skills to young people. In 2024, we piloted a course through an international school where we learned from educators, listening to their needs and understanding their unique professional and personal challenges.  In consultation with professionals in education, and working with the learnings of the pilot course, we have created Connected Kids for Educators (CKE), which is designed to meet the needs of those working in education.  We bring together our vast experience of the Connected Kids program to support the unique needs of the classroom environment.

” Great educational resource for CPD/CE.  Easy-to-use giving the teachers meditation skills to teach children in class.  Helpful in today’s stressful world.”

Hazel, (early years educational consultant)

A new guide – meditation and mindfulness for schools

There will be a suite of resources available for busy educators who are eager to integrate the benefits of mindfulness into their teaching practice. These resources are designed and created for the classroom and school environment – helping young people develop mindful skills and engage their creativity in meditation practices.

The resources offer self-directed study to help busy educators learn at their own pace and adapt mindful activities to the needs of a classroom.  Optional online drop-in sessions offer the chance to ask questions to hone understanding and skills.  We’ll signpost attendees who need help to stay focused through an option to buddy up with colleagues or other participants.

These meditation and mindfulness for schools resources support skills for those working with a wide range of age groups.  We’ll show you how to engage meditation skills at different levels of a child’s development.

Plus we’ll show you how to deliver and integrate your mindful creations as an activity or as a mindful lesson plan that can be linked to the current curriculum.

“For me having the mindfulness lesson plan is very helpful. I realise that mindfulness and meditation is not a subject to teach but a practice. However, the lesson planning we looked at has helped me to envisage how and when to use mindful moments.
