{"id":2573,"date":"2016-06-30T20:43:16","date_gmt":"2016-06-30T20:43:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bcgwebdesign.co.uk\/tcm\/?p=2573"},"modified":"2016-08-05T11:34:17","modified_gmt":"2016-08-05T11:34:17","slug":"meditation-to-help-you-cope-with-kids-teens-stress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/teachchildrenmeditation.com\/es\/meditation-to-help-you-cope-with-kids-teens-stress\/","title":{"rendered":"Meditaci\u00f3n para ayudarlo a ver lo mejor en sus hijos y adolescentes"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Sesgo de negatividad y atenci\u00f3n plena<\/h2>\n<div class=\"scbb-content-box scbb-rounded-corners scbb-content-box-blue\">Estuve dando una charla recientemente (hago algunas de estas <a href=\"https:\/\/teachchildrenmeditation.com\/es\/helping-kids-listen-learn-mindfulness\/\" target=\"_blank\">charlas online<\/a> para ayudar a informar, educar y darle la confianza para comenzar a ense\u00f1ar meditaci\u00f3n a ni\u00f1os \/ adolescentes) y encontr\u00e9 un t\u00e9rmino &#039;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychologytoday.com\/articles\/200306\/our-brains-negative-bias\" target=\"_blank\">sesgo de negatividad<\/a>&#8216;.\u00a0<\/div>\n<p>Significa que nuestro <strong>el cerebro y el cuerpo escanean constantemente el entorno en busca de amenazas.<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/teachchildrenmeditation.com\/es\/meditation-benefits-connected-kids-training\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2586 size-thumbnail\" title=\"child_meditation_eyes_closed\" src=\"http:\/\/www.teachchildrenmeditation.com\/files\/2016\/06\/boy_meditating-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"boy_meditating_eyes_closed_mindfully\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teachchildrenmeditation.com\/files\/2016\/06\/boy_meditating-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/teachchildrenmeditation.com\/files\/2016\/06\/boy_meditating-144x144.jpg 144w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a>Si detectamos una amenaza, la gestionamos ya que activa nuestra respuesta al estr\u00e9s (lucha \/ huida \/ congelaci\u00f3n), que est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para mantenernos con vida.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lo que significa es que estamos conectados<\/strong> (neurol\u00f3gicamente hablando) para buscar lo negativo en nuestras experiencias de vida m\u00e1s f\u00e1cilmente que las positivas.<\/p>\n<p>Como Rick Hanson, Ph.D<strong>.<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong>neuropsic\u00f3logo y autor de &quot;<em>El cerebro de Buda: la neurociencia pr\u00e1ctica de la felicidad, el amor y la sabidur\u00eda \u201d\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.psychologytoday.com\/blog\/your-wise-brain\/201010\/confronting-the-negativity-bias\" target=\"_blank\">argumenta que<\/a> <strong>nuestros cerebros son como velcro para las experiencias negativas y tefl\u00f3n para las positivas. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Encontr\u00e9 esto fascinante.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->\u00bfSignifica que estamos a merced de esto y no podemos cambiar nada? No, no lo creo.<\/p>\n<p>Nuestro cerebro est\u00e1 haciendo su trabajo y una parte de \u00e9l llamada <strong>am\u00edgdala<\/strong> (del que hablo en mi segundo libro \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/teachchildrenmeditation.com\/es\/resources\/meditation-books\/autism-kids-meditation\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ni\u00f1os conectados<\/a>) est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para activar una alarma si se detecta una amenaza.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, si la am\u00edgdala est\u00e1 sobreestimulada (muchas situaciones estresantes), <strong>Podemos utilizar la meditaci\u00f3n y las actividades conscientes para calmarnos.<\/strong> \u00a0Esto ayuda al cerebro reactivo a dejar el servicio activo. En otras palabras, a<strong> ayudar a que nuestros cuerpos y nuestras mentes vuelvan a un estado m\u00e1s tranquilo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 es esto importante para sus hijos?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u00bfQu\u00e9 pasar\u00eda si, como padres y cuidadores, pens\u00e1ramos (como lo hacemos) que <strong>Somos responsables de cualquier amenaza que pueda da\u00f1ar a nuestros hijos. \u00a0<\/strong>Seguramente esto significar\u00eda que debemos estar en alerta m\u00e1xima. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">todo el tiempo<\/span> para garantizar que est\u00e9n seguros. As\u00ed que ahora nuestra am\u00edgdala y sus conexiones cerebrales est\u00e1n recorriendo el medio ambiente en busca de <strong>amenazas para ti <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">y<\/span> a tus hijos. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Creo que esto nos lleva a un estado constante de estr\u00e9s y nos afianza en nuestro sesgo de negatividad.<\/p>\n<p>Por eso, cuando ense\u00f1o a la gente a ense\u00f1ar meditaci\u00f3n a los ni\u00f1os, los animo a que <strong>practicar la meditaci\u00f3n para su propia salud y bienestar<\/strong>. Este es un paso crucial. No podemos apoyar a otra persona si no podemos apoyarnos a nosotros mismos.<\/p>\n<h2>Autoayuda \u2013 con atenci\u00f3n plena<\/h2>\n<p>Si estamos desconectados, en alerta m\u00e1xima debido al estr\u00e9s y nuestro hijo comienza a tener un colapso en un lugar p\u00fablico, <strong>reaccionaremos a esto.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Si estamos castigados, somos capaces de mantener la calma y la alerta \u2013<strong> responderemos a esto. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hay una diferencia.<\/p>\n<p>El otro d\u00eda camin\u00e9 por el supermercado y pude ver a un ni\u00f1o peque\u00f1o de unos 2 o 3 a\u00f1os sufriendo una crisis nerviosa. Su padre decidi\u00f3 ignorarlo, seguir con la tienda y no prestarle ninguna atenci\u00f3n. Esto parec\u00eda como echar le\u00f1a al fuego.<\/p>\n<p>Este peque\u00f1o ni\u00f1o no estaba tratando de controlar o manipular a su padre (las funciones cognitivas de su cerebro no son capaces de hacer esto a esta edad), pero tal vez el padre s\u00ed...<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>avergonzado<\/li>\n<li>avergonzado<\/li>\n<li>estresado<\/li>\n<li>enojado<\/li>\n<li>o experimentar otra emoci\u00f3n fuerte<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2026y su forma de afrontarlo fue <strong>ignorar la situaci\u00f3n<\/strong>; muy similar a una de nuestras respuestas al estr\u00e9s en la que nos &quot;congelamos&quot; para evitar abordar el problema con la esperanza de que desaparezca.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Si ese padre hubiera practicado la meditaci\u00f3n con regularidad,<\/strong> podr\u00eda comprobar con su respiraci\u00f3n y su cuerpo para notar que estaba empezando a reaccionar.<\/p>\n<p>Podr\u00eda usar una t\u00e9cnica de meditaci\u00f3n all\u00ed mismo, en el supermercado (no sentarse con las piernas cruzadas ni adoptar posturas extra\u00f1as, simplemente estar de pie), pero le permitir\u00eda mantenerse firme incluso con esta enorme respuesta de su hijo.<\/p>\n<p>Y s\u00e9 que en este estado m\u00e1s tranquilo habr\u00eda podido &quot;sintonizarse&quot; con su hijo y responder de una manera amorosa, firme y justa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Si queremos que los ni\u00f1os aprendan a estar m\u00e1s tranquilos, tenemos que practicarlo tambi\u00e9n.<\/strong> \u00a0Si queremos que los ni\u00f1os aprendan a procesar momentos y emociones dif\u00edciles con una conciencia m\u00e1s pac\u00edfica, tenemos que ense\u00f1arles c\u00f3mo controlarlos y luego qu\u00e9 hacer cuando noten los factores desencadenantes.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfTu vaso est\u00e1 Medio lleno o medio vac\u00edo?<\/h2>\n<p>Tenemos ese viejo dicho &#039;\u00bftu vaso est\u00e1 medio lleno o medio vac\u00edo&#039;? A trav\u00e9s de la pr\u00e1ctica de la meditaci\u00f3n (y hablo por experiencia personal) es posible cambiar nuestra actitud de un patr\u00f3n de pensamiento de &quot;vaso medio vac\u00edo&quot; a uno &quot;medio lleno&quot; a trav\u00e9s de la atenci\u00f3n plena y la meditaci\u00f3n. <strong>El primer paso es notar en qu\u00e9 mitad del vaso te est\u00e1s enfocando.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Entonces\u2026 volvamos a la paternidad. Si vemos que nuestros hijos se comportan de una manera que no nos gusta, \u00bfestamos reaccionando porque nuestro &#039;vaso est\u00e1 medio vac\u00edo&#039;? Por ejemplo, \u00bfnuestras mentes est\u00e1n fijadas en el sesgo de negatividad? \u201cEs un monstruo, siempre juega cada vez que entro al supermercado\u2026 \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 quiere hacer tal exhibici\u00f3n? \u00c9l sabe c\u00f3mo presionar mis botones\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00bfO el vaso est\u00e1 medio lleno?<\/strong>\u00a0\u2026\u201destaba bien esta ma\u00f1ana pero desde que entramos al supermercado algo le ha molestado. Quiz\u00e1s cuando tiene 3 a\u00f1os se siente un poco abrumado con toda esa gente, el ruido, las luces y estar en este lugar extra\u00f1o. S\u00f3lo quiere jugar con sus juguetes y esto le aburre\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cuando practicamos la meditaci\u00f3n para nuestro propio bienestar,<\/strong> Apartamos nuestra atenci\u00f3n del sesgo negativo del vaso medio vac\u00edo y comenzamos a &quot;ver&quot; que nuestros hijos est\u00e1n haciendo lo mejor que pueden en cada momento. Est\u00e1n procesando informaci\u00f3n, cambiando fisiol\u00f3gicamente a una velocidad s\u00faper r\u00e1pida y teniendo emociones para las que no tienen palabras. Todo es nuevo, es emocionante y, a veces, resulta un poco abrumador.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Entonces, antes de ir a ense\u00f1ar meditaci\u00f3n a sus hijos,<\/strong> configurar el nuestro<br \/>\npr\u00e1ctica habitual.
